Update: Royal Farms’ has confirmed that its new Silver Spring location is now scheduled to open on June 1. The chain had originally announced a May 4 opening date.
Royal Farms is bringing its signature fried chicken, made-to-order food, and 24/7 convenience to Silver Spring.
The upcoming store, which will be located at 9475 Georgia Avenue, will feature eight fuel dispensers and the brand’s full lineup of fresh, made-to-order options, including its well-known fried chicken, breakfast items, and sandwiches. Like other Royal Farms locations, it will operate 24/7.
In April, the chain announced, “Royal Farms, the nationally acclaimed convenience store and gas station chain known for its World-Famous Chicken, freshly brewed coffee, and made-to-order meals, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location Silver Spring, Maryland on May 4, 2026.”
This marks the second Royal Farms location in Montgomery County, joining the Gaithersburg store that opened in 2022. Plans have also been submitted for a potential third location at 397 Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg, which would be located just over a mile from the existing store.
In 2024, Royal Farms was named “Best Gas Station for Food” by USA Today’s 10Best Awards. According to the article, “Royal Farms offers a breakfast menu that’s available any time of the day or night. That’s in addition to other hot food menu items, including sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and their popular fried chicken. The stores also sell a wide variety of packaged snacks along with fountain and bottled beverages. Some locations even feature a Blending Bar, where you can craft a milkshake.”
