A 72-year-old Germantown man has died following a pedestrian collision in a parking lot on Drumcastle Terrace.
Montgomery County Department of Police officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded at approximately 12:35 pm on Friday, May 1, 2026, to the parking lot of 11600 Drumcastle Terrace for a report of a pedestrian struck. Investigators determined that the victim, Abdul Kaium Mohammad Hakim, was attempting to get into a 2012 Toyota Camry when the driver reversed, causing him to fall and be struck by the vehicle.
Hakim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead. The driver, identified as a family member, remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to call 240-773-6620.
