Gaithersburg Dad Wins Second $50,000 Lottery Prize in Two Weeks

A Gaithersburg man has claimed his second $50,000 prize in just over two weeks.

According to MD Lottery, the Montgomery County resident visited Lottery headquarters on May 4 to collect winnings from the $20 “$50,000 Cash” scratch-off game, after previously claiming a $50,000 prize on April 20 from a different $20 game, “Lucky 777.”

The delivery driver said the two winning tickets were purchased at different Gaithersburg retailers, with the first bought at a Shell station on Quince Orchard Road and the second at a beer and wine store on Lost Knife Road. Each retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling a top-prize ticket. The winner indicated he plans to continue playing and investing his winnings, and expressed hope of returning for a larger prize in the future.
