The City of Gaithersburg will celebrate Pride Month throughout June with a proclamation and several community events recognizing and supporting LGBTQIA+ communities.
An official Pride Month proclamation will be presented during the Mayor and City Council meeting on Monday, June 1 at City Hall. Additional activities scheduled throughout the month include a poster exhibit highlighting notable LGBTQIA+ Marylanders, family-friendly rainbow-themed museum programs, an inclusion-focused StoryTime event, arts and crafts activities at Kentlands Mansion, and a rainbow flower workshop. City officials say the programs are intended to promote inclusivity, equality, and community engagement during Pride Month.
Per the City of Gaithersburg: “The City of Gaithersburg celebrates Pride Month in June with an official proclamation and programs that celebrate the strength, dignity, and achievements of LGBTQIA+ communities. An official proclamation designating June as Pride Month in the City of Gaithersburg will be presented at the Mayor and City Council meeting on Monday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the meeting at 16 S.
