Alexis Dominique Cortel Limpiado is a Philippine-born artist now based in Frederick, MD. A Fine Arts graduate from the University of San Carlos, Alexis worked as a graphic designer before transitioning to full-time painting. Her works, primarily in watercolor, are a mix of whimsical fantasy pieces and highly detailed botanicals. “Watercolors on Wee Hours” is named for her late-night painting sessions in the company of her cat, Harper. Alexis describes her work as “deeply inspired by nature and delightfully powered by cats and ghosts.”
“Watercolors on Wee Hours” by Alexis Limpiado will be featured at Triangle Art Studios from Thursday, June 4 to Sunday, June 28. Gallery Hours are Wednesday-Sunday, 10:30am-5pm. The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 12, from 6-8pm.
