Taco Bamba to Open Third Maryland Location

Taco Bamba has announced plans to open a new location later this year at 4905 Fairmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda.

The restaurant will take over the former Casa Oaxaca space, which is being rebuilt from the ground up, and will feature approximately 1,850 square feet of indoor dining space along with a 2,000-square-foot outdoor patio and both indoor and outdoor bars.

The Bethesda location will be Taco Bamba’s third in Montgomery County and 17th overall. Founded by Chef Victor Albisu in Falls Church, Virginia, the fast-casual taqueria is known for its mix of traditional tacos and creative menu items. The Bethesda menu will include signature offerings as well as location-specific dishes, seasonal cocktails and rotating specials. The new restaurant’s design will draw inspiration from Taco Bamba’s earliest locations, featuring a simpler and more industrial aesthetic than some of the brand’s more recent restaurants.

Taco Bamba opened locations at 1627 Rockville Pike in 2021 and at 670 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg in 2022.
