Zadia Furniture to Close After 50+ Years in Business

Zadia Furniture, also known as Zadia Wood Center, has announced that it is closing after more than 50 years in business at 15205 Frederick Road in Rockville.

The family-owned furniture retailer first opened in 1973 and became known for its selection of unfinished real wood furniture, including oak, maple, cherry, and pine pieces. The store also offered custom finishing services and served customers throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

According to the business, many customers had shopped at the store for decades, with some families returning across multiple generations.

“Serving this community for 55 years has been the honor of a lifetime. We’ve watched families grow, furnish their first homes, and come back generation after generation. We’re grateful for every customer who walked through our doors, and while it’s bittersweet to close this chapter, we hope our customers will join us for this final sale,” the Zadia family said in a statement.

An out-of-business sale is currently underway, with discounts being offered on remaining inventory while supplies last.
