Montgomery County Liquor Store in White Oak to Close Permanently July 12; Nothing over $20

Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) has announced that its Montgomery County Liquor & Wine store at 11239 New Hampshire Ave. in the White Oak Shopping Center will permanently close on July 12.

ABS is currently holding a final sale at the store. Inventory is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The store is operating Thursday through Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. ABS also noted that no bottles priced above $20 remain in stock.

The closure comes after ABS opened its new Oak Barrel & Vine store nearby at 12259 Prosperity Dr last month.  The new concept features a curated selection of spirits, wine and locally produced products, along with a tasting room, event space, dedicated non-alcoholic beverage section, improved accessibility features and faster checkout areas. The White Oak location became the fifth Montgomery County store to receive the Oak Barrel & Vine branding, joining locations in Cabin John, Montrose, Gaithersburg and Westbard. ABS has said it plans to continue upgrading additional retail stores across the county over the coming years.
