Montgomery County police have identified the bicyclist who died following a collision in White Oak as Minh Q. Vu, 45, of Silver Spring.
The incident occurred around 9:39 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, on the northbound ramp from Columbia Pike to New Hampshire Avenue. Investigators say a white Lexus ES struck Vu while he was riding his bicycle. The driver initially left the scene but returned a short time later.
Vu was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Wednesday, June 17. Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate the fatal crash.
