Fish Taco will open its newest location on Wednesday, July 1, at The Shops of Potomac Valley shopping center, located at 12117 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg.
The family-owned restaurant, known for its Baja-inspired cuisine, will occupy a space that was previously home to an AT&T store and was later planned for a Wayback Burgers location that never opened.
The new restaurant will be the sixth Fish Taco location in the DMV. Fish Taco focuses on seasonal, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients and offers a menu of seafood tacos, burritos, rice bowls, quesadillas and salads. Popular items include Blackened Fish Tacos topped with chile-lime sauce, cabbage and pineapple-chile relish, and Salmon Tacos featuring blackened salmon, jalapeño sauce, red cabbage, charred corn and cilantro.
To celebrate the summer season, Fish Taco is offering limited-time specials through July 31, including Cucumber Gazpacho, Salmon Aguachile and Wasabi Shrimp Tacos. According to the restaurant, its mission is to create a welcoming space where guests can enjoy flavorful food, build connections and spend quality time together. The new location will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
