Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) are on the scene of a serious single-vehicle crash in the area of Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road in Germantown.
According to MCFRS, the vehicle went off the roadway and is hanging over the side of a bridge. Firefighters responded to the crash for a reported entrapment. Great Seneca Highway is closed in both directions between Mateny Road and Horn Drive near the WSSC Seneca Plant.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. The cause of the crash and the condition of those involved have not yet been released.
