Montgomery County Police detectives are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred Monday, June 22, in North Bethesda, resulting in the death of a Potomac woman.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel responded at approximately 5:31 p.m. to the entrance of a parking garage in the 11300 block of Woodglen Drive for a report of a serious single-vehicle crash. Investigators determined that a blue 2016 Toyota RAV4 had entered the parking garage from Marketplace Lane when the driver lost control and struck a cable barricade.
The driver, identified as 76-year-old Marjorie Rothschild of Potomac, was pronounced dead. An adult male passenger was transported to an area hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
