UPDATE: The child has been identified and returned to the custody of his parents.
The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the guardian of a non-verbal child who was found early Monday morning in Takoma Park.
According to police, the child, believed to be between 6 and 9 years old, was located near the 7700 block of Blair Road at approximately 3:24 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026.
The child is non-verbal, and police have not been able to identify him or locate his guardian.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the child’s guardian is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police non-emergency line at 301-279-8000.
