The Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) Board of Directors has elected Jennifer Hsin, partner at CNF Investments, LLC and a lecturer at the University of Maryland, as its new board chair.
Hsin succeeds Elana Fine, executive consultant for Hightower Advisors, who served as MCEDC board chair since July 1, 2024. Dr. Anne Khademian, executive director of the Universities at Shady Grove, will move into the role of vice chair, replacing Hsin. Dr. Ruth Cheng, president and CEO of ATCC, has also joined the organization’s executive committee.
The newly appointed MCEDC executive committee includes Hsin as chair, Khademian as vice chair, Devang Shah, managing partner of the Law Office of Shah and Kishore, as treasurer, and Cheng as secretary.
“I am honored to serve as Board Chair,” Hsin said in a statement. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead and believe that MCEDC is ready to meet today’s challenges and shape an even stronger future for Montgomery County.”
MCEDC President and CEO Jared Smith said Hsin has played an integral role in shaping the organization’s strategy during her two years as vice chair and thanked Fine for her leadership and service during her tenure as chair.
