PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans, which opened its Gaithersburg location in May, will officially celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, July 11, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, giveaways and special promotions throughout the weekend.
The coffee shop is located at 18251 Flower Hill Way in the new North Pointe at Flower Hill development, a 16,000-square-foot retail and restaurant center located behind the shopping center that includes Gentleman Jim’s. The grand opening celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m., and the first 25 customers will receive free coffee for a year. The café will also offer free small hot or iced coffees from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 11. On Sunday, July 12, customers can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on any beverage.
Founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan, PJ’s Coffee is rooted in New Orleans coffee culture and emphasizes high-quality Arabica beans and traditional roasting methods. The menu features hot, iced and frozen coffee drinks, organic teas and breakfast pastries.
The Gaithersburg café is the company’s second location in Montgomery County, joining its existing shop in Silver Spring at 8621 Georgia Avenue, Suite A-2. The new location continues the expansion of the Louisiana-based coffee chain throughout the Washington region.
