WWE Hall of Fame Wrestler to Appear at Frederick Keys Game

The Frederick Keys have announced that WWE Hall of Famer JBL (John Bradshaw Layfield) will appear at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium as part of the team’s Country Weekend festivities on Saturday, August 29.

JBL is a former WWE Champion, multiple-time tag team champion, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. Known for his time teaming with Ron Simmons as the Acolytes, and his bloody matches against Eddie Guerrero, JBL has remained a prominent figure in sports entertainment as a commentator and ambassador since his retirement.

Fans will have two opportunities to meet JBL during the event. An exclusive meet-and-greet in the NJM Insurance Group Courtyard will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with additional details and ticket information to be announced. A public meet-and-greet will be held on the concourse from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with admission to the game serving as access to the public appearance.

JBL joins a growing list of professional wrestling legends who have appeared at Frederick Keys events in recent years, including Jeff Jarrett and Billy Gunn.
