Local Chain Offering Free Pizza to Kids All Summer

Paisano’s Pizza is expanding its Community Slice Program this summer, offering free pizza slices to school-age children in need at all of its locations across the DMV as families face increasing food insecurity during the school break.

The program, operated through Paisano’s With a Purpose in partnership with the Pruitt Foundation, comes as the Capital Area Food Bank’s 2025 Hunger Report found that 36% of households across the region struggled to access enough food this year. Paisano’s says the initiative is designed to help children who lose access to school meals during the summer months.

Last summer, the program provided more than 10,000 meals. This year, Paisano’s hopes to reach 100,000 children. Customers can also support the effort through the company’s “Give a Slice, Get a Slice” campaign by donating a pizza slice at checkout or online, with the Pruitt Foundation matching donations slice for slice.

Paisano’s has Montgomery County locations in Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Rockville.
