Orange Pocket Moves Closer to Opening at Rio in Gaithersburg

Permanent signage has been installed at Orange Pocket in Rio in Gaithersburg. The Japanese and Korean-inspired pop culture and lifestyle retailer is now expected to open in mid-August at 30 Grand Corner Avenue, taking over the former Pier 1 Imports and seasonal Spirit Halloween space.

The store will offer a mix of shopping and interactive attractions, including gashapon capsule toy machines, claw machines, blind boxes, Japanese snacks and drinks, beauty and skincare products, toys, collectibles, pet products, stationery, and home goods such as bowls and chopsticks.

Orange Pocket aims to create a colorful, interactive shopping experience for families and fans of Japanese and Korean pop culture. The newly installed signage is the latest sign that the highly anticipated retailer remains on track to welcome its first customers later this summer.
