Gold Bunny Donuts has officially closed its location at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda following a lease termination.
The specialty donut shop, which operated near the food court next to Macy’s, served its final customers on July 9. In announcing the closure, the business said it had received notice that its lease would be terminated and had not yet secured a new location. The owners said they hope to reopen in the future.
Gold Bunny opened at the mall in late 2025, taking over the former Donutchew space. Operated by the owners of Kokee Tea, the shop became known for its cream-filled specialty donuts, including Banana Custard, Earl Grey Cream, Tiramisu Cream, and signature flavors such as Biscoff, Matcha and Dirty Chocolate Cream.
The business has not announced where or when it plans to reopen.
