The City of Rockville has been named a 2026 Triple Crown winner by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), an honor awarded to governments that receive all three of the organization’s highest awards during the same fiscal year.
The awards include the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
Each award has its own review process and professional standards, evaluating how clearly a government communicates its financial information through annual financial statements, resident-friendly reports, and its adopted budget. According to the city, the recognition reflects Rockville’s continued commitment to transparency and making financial information accurate, accessible, and easy for residents to understand.
