Furniture & Rug Depot has announced it is permanently closing after 30 years in Montgomery County. The longtime furniture and rug retailer, located at 5230 Randolph Road in Rockville, says it is shutting down after losing its lease and has launched a store-closing liquidation sale.
The business first opened in Germantown in the 90’s before relocating to its current Rockville location in 2005. Over the years, Furniture & Rug Depot built a reputation for offering imported and domestic furniture, handmade rugs, mattresses and home accessories.
The company says its liquidation sale features discounts of 50% to 75% on handmade rugs and significant savings throughout the store, including living room, bedroom and dining room furniture, mattresses and accessories. According to the business, all inventory must be sold before the store permanently closes, and “no reasonable offers” will be refused. No closing date has been announced.
