Maryland Comptroller Brooke E. Lierman joined state and local officials Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the Comptroller of Maryland’s new branch office in Rockville, expanding in-person services for residents and businesses in Montgomery County.
The new office, located at 800 King Farm Blvd., will provide assistance with filing tax returns, claiming unclaimed property, applying for tax credits and accessing a variety of other taxpayer services. It is one of 11 regional offices operated by the Comptroller’s Office across Maryland and the fourth new branch office opened during Lierman’s tenure.
“Every Marylander deserves convenient access to the services they need,” Lierman said. “The opening of our new Rockville Branch Office reflects our commitment to meeting taxpayers where they are and delivering responsive, accessible service.”
State and local leaders, including Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and State Sen. Craig Zucker, said the new office will improve access to state services for both residents and the county’s business community while supporting the state’s broader effort to modernize government services.
