The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring is thanking educators ahead of the new school year by offering free climbing for teachers during its annual Teacher Appreciation Day on Sunday, Aug. 16.
Teachers can reserve a complimentary climbing adventure online by using the promotional code “Teach26” at checkout. Advance reservations are required, availability is limited, and participants must present a valid teacher ID upon arrival. The offer is valid only on Aug. 16 and cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.
The event comes just weeks after The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring was named the Best Aerial Adventure Park in the United States in USA Today’s 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, earning the top spot after finishing second nationally in both 2024 and 2025.
Located at 16701 Norwood Road in Sandy Spring, the family-owned attraction opened in 2010 on the grounds of Sandy Spring Friends School. It features 16 aerial courses, more than 200 climbing elements, eight difficulty levels, and over 4,000 feet of zip lines, making it the largest aerial ropes course and zipline park in the United States.
