$200,000 Winning Lottery Tickets Sold at Maryland 7-Eleven

A Gaithersburg man is celebrating a $200,000 Maryland Lottery win after playing the same Pick 5 number combination four times in a single drawing.

According to MD Lottery, Russell Bowie claimed four $50,000 top prizes after purchasing four straight-bet Pick 5 tickets with the combination 1-1-3-2-0 for the evening drawing on July 16. Bowie said the numbers are based on a former home address and are among his favorite combinations to play.

After waking up in the middle of the night on his day off, Bowie checked the winning numbers and realized they matched his Pick 5 selection. He then retrieved the tickets from his car to confirm the win.

“We sent up some prayers of gratitude, that’s for sure,” Bowie told the Maryland Lottery.

The winning tickets were purchased at the 7-Eleven at 700 Gaither Road in Rockville, which will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the four winning tickets.
