The Maryland Lottery, the state’s six casinos, sportsbooks and fantasy sports operators generated a combined $1.637 billion for state programs and services during Fiscal Year 2026, an increase of $48 million over the previous year.
Casino gaming contributed $822.2 million, Lottery profits totaled $681.6 million, and sports wagering and fantasy sports generated $133.3 million. Together, the state’s gaming industry directed $699.8 million to education programs and produced an average of $4.48 million per day for state causes.
The Maryland Lottery recorded the third-best sales year in its 53-year history, with $2.676 billion in ticket sales. Scratch-off tickets surpassed $1 billion in sales for the fifth consecutive year, while players won $1.692 billion in prizes, including 28 prizes of at least $1 million.
Maryland’s six casinos generated $1.931 billion in slot machine and table game revenue, the fifth-highest annual total since casino gaming began in the state. Meanwhile, sports wagering continued to grow, contributing $132.3 million to the state, up from $88.9 million the previous fiscal year.
