Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded around 4:25 p.m. Monday to the 5100 block of Cedar Lane in Bethesda for a reported house fire after a tree fell onto a home.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, crews found an electrical outlet on fire in the basement after the tree struck the house. Power to the home was shut off, and two adults, one man and one woman, were displaced. No injuries were reported.
