Target Launching New Beauty Concept at 14 Maryland Stores Following End of Ulta Partnership

Target is launching Target Beauty Studio, a new beauty destination featuring more than 1,600 products from 90 prestige, emerging and global brands, at 14 Maryland stores beginning September 10. This comes as Target ends its partnership with Ulta Beauty this month.

The new concept will debut at Target stores in Baltimore, Bel Air, Glen Burnie, Bowie, Laurel, Waldorf, Ellicott City, Columbia, Germantown, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Cockeysville, Wheaton and Rockville. Nationwide, Target Beauty Studio will launch at more than 600 stores and online.

More than two-thirds of the brands featured in Target Beauty Studio are new to Target. The assortment includes skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrances, K-beauty, global beauty products, styling accessories, suncare and other categories. Featured brands include Sunday Riley, Briogeo, First Aid Beauty, Boy Smells, Lake & Skye, Clearstem, Bondi Boost, Nioxin, Amuse, Kaja, Rom&nd and Tan-Luxe.

The in-store experience will include dedicated Beauty Advisors who can provide personalized product recommendations and guidance. Select products will be available for testing, while rotating displays will highlight categories such as “Editors’ Picks,” “Most Loved” and “Standouts of the Season.” Stores will also feature a selection of mini-sized products.

“When guests shop for beauty, they want to pick up their standbys while also exploring what’s new and trending, and Target Beauty Studio is designed with that mix in mind,” said Amanda Nusz, senior vice president of merchandising, essentials and beauty at Target. “It’s an inspiring destination to discover what’s new, now and next in beauty.”

Target will also hold an in-store Target Beauty Studio celebration on Saturday, September 26, from noon to 4pm. The first 100 guests at most participating stores will receive an exclusive Target Circle bonus, with additional giveaways planned at select locations.
