Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a high-rise apartment fire on Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda Sunday afternoon.
Crews were dispatched to 4885 Edgemoor Lane at approximately 1:13 pm for a fire alarm and located a fire in an apartment on the 11th floor of the residential high-rise.
According to MCFRS, the building’s sprinkler system activated and the fire did not extend to other units. The sprinkler activation resulted in water damage.
Searches of the building were negative and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
