The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) will host its 2026 open house on Saturday, September 19, offering the community a behind-the-scenes look at the department.
The free, family-friendly event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the RCPD station at 2 W. Montgomery Avenue. No registration is required.
Visitors will be able to tour the police station, explore marked police vehicles and learn about the equipment and resources officers use. Activities will include K-9 demonstrations, a police motorcycle display, community services information and giveaways, hands-on equipment displays and photo opportunities with officers and vehicles.
“An open house lets residents come to us on a different kind of day, ask questions, see how we work and get to know the officers serving their neighborhoods,” Police Chief Jason West said.
In the event of inclement weather, the open house will be rescheduled for Saturday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
