Pollo Campero has permanently closed its location in the Westfield Montgomery Mall food court at 7101 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda after a little more than two years.
The restaurant opened at the mall in July 2024, taking over a space that had previously been occupied by Greek Aroma Grill.
Pollo Campero, which originated in Guatemala in 1971, is known for its fried and grilled chicken, along with menu items such as empanadas, yuca, plantains and flan. The chain continues to operate other locations in Montgomery County, including restaurants in Gaithersburg, Takoma Park and Wheaton.
The news of Pollo Campero’s closure was first reported by Robert Dyer.
