The community is rallying around the family of Inmar Nazareth Campos Rivera, who died in a motorcycle crash on his 20th birthday.
Campos Rivera, who lived in Bethesda, died on August 21 following a crash in Beltsville. According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. in the 10700 block of Tucker Street.
Police said Campos Rivera was traveling on Tucker Street when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died.
Following his death, Campos Rivera’s mother created a GoFundMe to help the family with funeral and burial expenses, memorial arrangements and other immediate costs.
“What should have been a day of celebration for our family became the day we had to say goodbye to our son,” his mother wrote, noting that the crash occurred on his 20th birthday. She thanked those who have donated, shared the fundraiser or offered support as the family mourns his unexpected death.
The crash remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash camera or home surveillance footage to contact the department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
