Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) is on the scene of an ongoing industrial rescue Thursday at Omega-3 Nutrition in the 1300 block of E. Gude Drive near Southlawn Lane in Rockville.
According to MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer, an adult worker has an arm and hand actively trapped in industrial machinery described as a mixer or roller. Rescue crews are working to extricate the patient, who is being evaluated as a Priority 2 trauma patient.
A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter has brought the University of Maryland Shock Trauma “Go-Team” to the scene to assist with the rescue. Some lanes are blocked in the area of E. Gude Drive and Taft Street as the response continues.
