I’m reaching out with a local arts and community story opportunity taking place this Sunday, October 4, at Sandy Spring Museum.
Maryland sculptor Tiffany Carmouche will unveil a new life-size bronze sculpture honoring her father, beloved children’s author Larry Callen. The interactive sculpture depicts Callen seated on a park bench with an empty seat beside him, inviting visitors to sit alongside the figure and engage directly with the artwork.
The unveiling will celebrate Callen’s legacy and the importance of literacy, storytelling, kindness and imagination in bringing communities together.
