The Montgomery County Commission for Women, in partnership with the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, will begin a free monthly virtual seminar series on separation and divorce on Wednesday, October 7.
The “Separation and Divorce: What Do I Need to Know?” series is designed to help residents better understand the legal and practical aspects of separation and divorce in Maryland.
Sessions will be held via Zoom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month through June 2027.
A local family law attorney will lead each session, covering topics including alimony, dispute resolution methods, financial statements, protective orders, property division and when and where to file. The seminars are free, but registration is required. Participants will receive a Zoom link after registering.
