A5 Wagyu and Omakase Restaurant Moves Closer to Opening

MUI Supper Club is moving closer to opening at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda, with permanent exterior signage now installed and the restaurant now expecting to open in November.

The restaurant is coming to 967 Rose Ave., taking over the space previously occupied by The Block food hall, which closed in 2024. MUI Supper Club will specialize in A5 wagyu, omakase and theatrical tableside dining, combining traditional Japanese techniques with modern presentations. The menu will also feature dishes prepared on a robata grill.

Planned menu items include A5 wagyu tartare with caviar, Wagyu Niku Kappo served with a tabletop binchotan stone, a 72-hour koji-aged A5 tomahawk and the Hot Rock Experience, featuring wagyu, otoro, prawn and foie gras served on a 700-degree volcanic stone.

MUI also plans to offer a limited membership program with annual tiers ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Benefits vary by tier and include priority reservations, private dining experiences, off-menu dishes and access to members-only events.

Once open, MUI Supper Club plans to operate Tuesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be closed Sundays and Mondays.
