Montgomery County is recognizing Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday, October 12, honoring the history, cultures and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
As part of the recognition, the County is directing residents to a guide compiled by the Maryland Office of Tourism highlighting American Indian history, cultural sites and experiences throughout Maryland. The guide includes museums, historic sites, cultural events, parks and trails where residents can learn more about Indigenous communities and their traditions.
