A Maryland Lottery player on the Eastern Shore became a millionaire Thursday morning after purchasing a FAST PLAY ticket worth $1,452,675 at a store in Chester on Kent Island.
The winning $20 FAST PLAY 20X Cash ticket was sold October 15 at Bakers Liquors, located at 1500 Postal Road in Queen Anne’s County. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
According to MD Lottery, the 20X Cash game launched in September 2025 with 20 progressive jackpot prizes. Thursday’s win marks the first time the game’s progressive jackpot has been claimed. Following the win, the jackpot resets to $300,000 and increases with the sale of each non-jackpot-winning ticket.
