Construction to Begin in November on Stormwater Improvement Project in Rockville

Construction is expected to begin in November 2026 on the Villages at Tower Oaks stormwater management improvement project in Rockville, with work scheduled to continue through spring 2027.

According to the City of Rockville, the project will include dredging an existing stormwater pond to improve water treatment, removing trees from the embankment to meet regulatory requirements, and planting native vegetation.

Contractor Magstone, LLC will begin site preparation in early to mid-November, including marking construction boundaries, installing tree protection measures, and putting erosion and sediment controls in place. Construction is expected to begin in mid- to late November.

Residents near Treasure Oak Court may experience construction vehicle traffic, noise, and temporary on-street parking restrictions near construction entrances. Signs will be posted to notify residents of restrictions, and access to properties will be maintained throughout the project.

Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with completion anticipated in spring 2027.
