Sweet + Sour Cafe is now open at 9613 Medical Center Drive in Rockville, taking over the space formerly occupied by Passion Bakery Cafe.
The cafe previously operated a food stand at Westfield Wheaton, specializing in Colombian snacks, desserts and specialty drinks. Its new Rockville location offers an expanded menu featuring breakfast, lunch, coffee, smoothies and traditional Colombian treats.
Menu offerings include pancakes, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, flatbreads, paninis, soups and rice bowls. The cafe also serves Colombian specialties such as cholados, salpicón, obleas, merengón and mangonadas, along with açaí bowls, fresh fruit smoothies and coffee drinks.
According to the business, its current hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The cafe is temporarily closed on Sundays.
Sweet + Sour Cafe replaces Passion Bakery Cafe, which continues to operate locations in Aspen Hill, Beltsville and Olney.
