Golden Corral Shut Down After Health Inspectors Discover Roach Infestation

Golden Corral in Waldorf, MD has been temporarily closed after health inspectors discovered a roach infestation at the restaurant, located at 2800 Crain Highway in Charles County.

According to The BayNet, the Charles County Department of Health suspended the restaurant’s food service license on Tuesday, October 20, following an inspection prompted by a customer complaint about roaches.

Health officials told The BayNet that inspectors discovered roaches in multiple areas of the restaurant and at different stages of development, indicating an established infestation involving multiple generations. Inspectors also identified evidence of previous pest activity that required cleaning. A notice posted at the restaurant states that its food service license has been summarily suspended under Maryland regulations, citing “persistent evidence of roaches” as the primary reason.

The restaurant must remain closed until the infestation and other violations are addressed. No reopening date has been announced.
