Salt & Vine has announced that its new downtown Frederick location will officially open on Wednesday, November 11, at 51 S Market Street, taking over the space formerly occupied by La Paz.
Salt & Vine will bring its Italian-inspired menu and wine offerings to downtown Frederick, with a focus on seasonal dishes, fresh ingredients, and a selection of wines. The restaurant announced the opening date on social media, inviting customers to make reservations ahead of its debut. The Frederick location will initially operate by reservation only.
The restaurant’s original location opened in May 2023 at 3308 Olney-Sandy Spring Road in Olney, taking over the historic Olney House building that previously housed Ricciuti’s. The restaurant is led by executive chef and owner Thomas Zippelli.
The Frederick location will occupy the former home of La Paz, a longtime Mexican restaurant that closed in December 2024 after 46 years in business.
