Amalfi Ristorante Italiano Has Been Sold

Longtime MoCo restaurant Amalfi Ristorante Italiano at 12307 Wilkins Ave in Rockville has announced it has been sold. Amalfi originally announced plans to sell and possibly relocate outside of Montgomery County back in April. While the new owners have not been revealed, according to a message by the former owners, “We have sold the building, recipes, name and everything that comes with it. We will be sure to teach them every last secret with full hopes that they will successfully continue the Amalfi Legacy.”

Full statement below:
”It is official!!! We have sold Amalfi to a wonderful couple who will have the opportunity to keep it going for many more decades. We are not announcing who this wonderful couple is quite yet but we will one day soon. We have sold the building, recipes, name and everything that comes with it. We will be sure to teach them every last secret with full hopes that they will successfully continue the Amalfi Legacy. For those few who have somehow managed to guess and know please don’t share. We will do a formal announcement in the near future. All we can say is that in our eyes they are the best chance to keep Amalfi alive and successful.

That means we are making our exit plan. We are officially announcing that the original Amalfi Family will be here through Sunday November 20th. That means you have three weeks so hurry and reserve your spots. Knowing how crazy we will be and trying to assure that your last meals with us are as perfect as you remember we have decided to limit our party size to 8 guests going forward. All we do ask is to be sure before making your reservations as reservations will be in very very very high demand. Don’t cause another family to miss out by booking reservations you may not be able to attend. To make online reservations please visit www.amalfirockville.com

Thank you to all of our thousands of great customers for all of your years of patronage. We will truly miss you all and so many of you will forever be in our hearts. To those that may think it will never be the same, I ask that you be sure to give the new owners a shot. We wouldn’t sell our legacy to just anyone so have faith as we do that they will do a great job. We believe in them and fully expect to come and dine with them whenever we are back in town. We prayed for a real chance for Amalfi to live on and we believe the lord answered those prayers.”
