Starting today at 2pm and running through Friday, Carmen’s Italian Ice at 1115 Nelson St in Rockville is doing its annual “Pay the Price of the Weather” promotion. Whatever the temperature is outside, that’s the price of a small Italian ice (you can substitute gelati for an extra dollar). Only cash or Carmen’s “Crave Cards” are accepted for the deal. While obviously not a huge money maker for the store, Carmen’s owner Jason Mandler tells us the promotion is a nice treat for their diehards fans and something fun to do during the off-season, when people don’t typically have frozen treats on their mind.
