According to the Maryland Cannabis Administration, $10,429,736 worth of cannabis was purchased over the weekend of June 30th-July 2nd. $4,518,377 of these sales were made on Saturday, July 1, the day recreational cannabis sales became legal in the state. Now any resident with a valid government ID is legally allowed to purchase and possess cannabis products from registered dispensaries in Maryland.
