New & Coming Soon to Montgomery Village (October 2023)

Below is a list of businesses that are new or coming soon to the Montgomery Village Shopping Center:
Opening Soon: Baskin Robins
Permanent signage is up at Baskin Robbins. The ice cream shop is located next to Suburban Hair and is hoping to open next week. Baskin Robbins opened a new location earlier this year at 1079 Seven Locks Rd in Potomac Woods Plaza.

Coming Soon: Fiesta Laundromat
Permanent signage is up for Fiesta Laundromat, which will be opening in the center next to Boo Boo Pho and across from the MV Animal Hospital on the new Centerway Rd extension. “At Fiesta Laundromat, we take immense pride in our work, whether we are working with large-scale corporate clients, individual laundry clients or our walk-in customers. Take a look around our website and learn more about the variety of laundry services we offer.”  No opening date has been announced but the location is currently hiring. Fiesta has an additional location at 7601 New Hampshire Ave in Takoma Park.

Now Open: Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings 
Hangry Joe’s opened on September 24.  The Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant is located adjacent to the Starbuck’s at 19290 Montgomery Village Ave.  Hangry Joe’s in known for its hot chicken sandwiches, known as the “Chicken Sando”, and allows guests to choose the spice level of the fried chicken (Plain<Mild<Medium<Hot<Angry Hot). The menu also consists of chicken fingers, chicken & waffles, wraps, nuggets, loaded fries, and salads. Sides include cider slaw, waffle fries, and fried okra. The restaurant is currently hiring and hopes to open by the end of this month.

Now Open: Antojitos Salvadorenos Isabel
Antojitos Salvadoreños Isabel at 19114 Montgomery Village Ave (formerly Einstein Bagel Bros) opened on August 25. The restaurant serves traditional Salvadorian dishes like pupusas, tamales, yuca con chicharron, and pastelitos (full menu can be seen here.) Einstein Bros closed its Montgomery Village store in December 2021. La Poteria, which sells Colombian street food and coffee, is located next door.

Coming Soon: SafeSplash Swim School
SafeSplash Swim School
is coming to the Montgomery Village Shopping Center and will be located behind Suburban Hair and Linda’s Nails. This will be SafeSplash Swim School’s second Montgomery County location after opening the area’s first SafeSplash facility, located within LA Fitness on Rockville Pike in Rockville. SafeSplash typically offers learn-to-swim lessons to children as young as six months of age. No prior swimming experience is needed. Adult and adaptive lessons are typically offered as well. Various class levels are offered to suit different swimming abilities. Per SafeSplash, “Students are taught in small classes (no larger than 4 students to 1 instructor), by experienced and passionate instructors. SafeSplash uses a proven, proprietary instruction method that has been tested and refined over the company’s history, across 10 years and over 4 million swim lessons.”
