Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School (4301 East-West Hwy) was placed on a lockdown on Monday, November 13, due to police activity near the school.
According to police, “At approximately 2 p.m., MCP officers located a stolen vehicle near Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. The occupants exited the vehicle and left the scene. Officers apprehended one of the occupants who was then taken into custody. The school was placed on lockdown. The lockdown was lifted, and the school proceeded with its regular dismissal schedule. This is an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.”
Bethesda Chevy Chase High School is currently on lockdown due to police activity in the area.
