Traffic incidents have caused major delays on both I-270 and I-495 in Montgomery County on Monday morning.
Update: All lanes are open on NB i-270 after Falls Rd (MD 189).
According to the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC) Program:
- Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injury. I-270 NB past MD-189 (Exit 5). Montgomery County, MD. 3 left travel lanes are blocked. 1 right lane open. Delays begin near Montrose Road. Local Lanes are open. Rubbernecking delays begin near I-370.
- Tractor Trailer Crash with Injury. I-495 EB (Inner Loop) at US-29 (Exit 30). Montgomery County, MD. 3 right lanes remain blocked. 1 left lane open. Inner Loop delays remain, beginning before MD-97. Outer Loop rubbernecking delays begin before the I-95 Interchange.
Drivers should expect significant delays and seek alternate routes. We will provide updates if additional information becomes available.
