Longtime ABC News 7 anchor and reporter Horace Holmes passed away on December 3, 2023 at the age of 66.
Holmes was best known for his “7 on Your Side”/ I-Team investigative reports that focused on consumer advocacy.
“He served at WJLA TV as a co-anchor of the weekend and morning news, weekday general assignment reporter and member of the 7 On Your Side Team. Before joining WJLA, he anchored the Morning Show for WMAR-TV in Baltimore. Horace received several awards for his journalism, including seven Emmy Awards. He is a beloved friend, colleague and mentor, and touched many lives with his wisdom, guidance, empathy, sense of humor and joy for life.” You can read his full Washington Post obituary here.
