
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the 2100blk of New Hampshire Ave., near Elton Road in Hillandale for the report of ”well-involved” vehicle fire/heavy equipment fire.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire occurred at a construction site on Monday, February 12, and involved and excavator that blew a hydraulic line which resulted in an engine fire.
The operator of the vehicle exited with no injury. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
