
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire in the 19300blk of St. Johnsbury Ln, near Chapelgate Rd in Germantown on Friday, February 23.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was located in the basement of a single family home and was caused by a space heater. All occupants have been accounted for and firefighters assisted/rescued two pet dog from the house. Damage is estimated to be approximately $25,000 and there are no reported injures.
